In chapter 4 it talks about a group of French people who came in the refugee migration of the 1680s and after. The people were known as the Huguenots and only two thousands came by 1700 and only a few hundred after that. I have never heard of this group before, so I was curious to find out a little more about them. These two articles give off great history about the Huguenot immigration to America. The Huguenots were French Protestants and they were unwelcome in the Catholic France. These articles talk about their desire for greater freedom religiously and politically. I was able to gain a lot of new insight about this group that I never heard of before.

I think that its very interesting that you did a follow up on this group, because I also had never heard of this group. It was also interesting to find out how they tired several settlements before they had a successful. They first tried setting in Florida but it failed and the first successful settlement was in the Netherlands
