In Chapter 8 we learned about the Eastern European Jewish immigrants. This article provides background with how many Eastern European Jews came to the United States. It states Of all Jewish immigrants to the United States from 1886 to 1914, forty-four percent were women. Women who immigrated to America from Eastern Europe discovered their lives stamped by the economic, social, and cultural impact of their migration. I liked this article, because it talks about women.
